Step 5: Top Tips – Writing P1 & P2
Paper 1 'Creative' - write a 10-14 paragraph structure. Use ambitious vocabulary. Script with a past tense narrative. Model inspirational texts: Aron Ralston – 127 Hours.
Paper 2 'Transactional' - use stats, facts, anecdotes. Reference credible sources (BBC, Gov.uk, Telegraph).
Step 6: Drilling Deeper - Writing
Paper 1 Technique: BIG PICTURE to zoom in on MICRO DETAIL - character features (twitches, scars, half-removed tattoos).
4Cs Narrative Arc: Calm Opening → Crisis → Climax → Closure; use a SHOW not tell format.
Paper 2 Techniques - persuasive voice.
Contrasts and viewpoints. Establish authority through verifiable evidence & cohesion.
